Understanding the Puma PRO16/NXTPRO Circuit:
The Puma PRO16/NXTPRO circuit is divided into two leagues: the PRO16 League featuring sponsored teams that typically roster multiple top-150 national players, and the NXTPRO League, which brings together some of the best non-sponsored teams from across the country. Both leagues compete in joint sessions throughout the spring and summer, establishing their rankings through direct competition.
-
From other secondary leagues like EYCL, Adidas Gold, and UA Rise, there are two key differences:
Nxtpro League games are held in the same venue as the Pro16 League games, making it easy for college coaches to watch both leagues without having to leave the building.
Nxtpro teams have the opportunity to play against Pro16 teams during the season, called crossover games. In 2025 alone, there were 676 such matchups during both non-live and live period events in the Spring/Summer.
-
With over 300 Nxtpro teams in each age group, only the most competitive earn the right to play crossover games. Collective teams have consistently ranked among the top in the Nxtpro division, establishing themselves as one of the premier programs in the country. This reputation has led to ongoing opportunities to compete against Pro16 teams and top Nxtpro teams and face some of the nation’s best players and programs.
Collective teams had 23 Crossover games in 2025 (vs. Pro16 teams)
Colorado Collective 16U finished 5-3 vs Pro16 teams (2025)
Colorado Collective 17U finished in the top 16 of the Puma NXTPRO circuit qualifying for the Pro16 finals in back-to-back years (2023 & 2024), the only program in Colorado to qualify and one of two programs to accomplish this feat nationally.
Multiple teams at the same age group finished in the top 32 of the Nxtpro division (15U – 2024, 17U - 2023)
Colorado Collective 15U, 16U, & 17U all finished as top 10 seeds for the Nxtpro finals (2025)

We believe that both the level of competition and the environment in which athletes play are crucial for recruitment. Our goal is to provide players with chances to face the best opponents and gain genuine national exposure. Colorado has great basketball talent, and we are committed to showcasing it and creating real opportunities for advancement. This pathway and this platform work. Over the last three years more than 30 Collective players have earned opportunities to play college basketball at the D1, D2, D3, Juco, and NAIA levels.
At the end of the Spring sessions, the top 16 teams from each league at each age group (15U-17U) qualify for the Pro16 Finals. This combined event seeds those 32 teams into a bracket for the final live periods in July. Those teams then play out in a high stakes event that draws hundreds of coaches and maximizes player exposure in a one-of-a-kind grassroots event.
On the final weekend of July, Nxtpro teams are seeded into a bracket to crown the Nxtpro champion who will gain automatic entry into the Pro16 the following year – offering another valuable opportunity for competition, development, and visibility to college coaches.
